SAS investments has recently achieved planning permission to develop a landmark scheme off Fortis Green, London N2.

Enviably situated in a sought after conservation area between East Finchley and Muswell Hill, the area is surrounded by outstanding primary and secondary schools, wonderful parks and woods and well served by East Finchley underground station on the Northern Line.

Beacon Lodge is a former care home set in approximately 0.8 acres situated in Eastern Road. Built at the turn of the 20th Century, the scheme is a conversion of the original mansion into a terrace of 3 luxury family houses. There is also a separate detached, modern ‘pavilion style’ house and 6 new-build two and three bedroom duplex apartments, all with private terraces or gardens.

The scheme will benefit from its own landscaped communal grounds and orchard for exclusive use by the residents and private off-street parking for each home.

SAS consulted widely with the local community and hosted an open evening attended by 88 residents. They received a large amount of support from neighbours and planning officers who commented that the scheme was sensitively designed and respectful of the needs of the local population without being an over-development of the site.  Commercial Director, Tim Jackson explains “We are mindful of our duty to create a scheme that meets the needs of families, couples and downsizers while improving the local streetscape and creating something sustainable and forward-looking for future generations. We have lived and worked in and around the area for over 12 years and it is this local knowledge combined with a love for the neighbourhood which has enabled the approval of such an important scheme. Coupled with our successful launch of Pinnacle N10, we are helping to improve and expand Muswell Hill in collaboration with the local community.”
